Job Title Temporary Commercial Analyst

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role entails a blend of internal controller support and process improvement and business unit performance support. This leading manufacturing FMCG multi-national nurtures an ambitious and collegial working environment with excellent career opportunities. Working in a team of 7 other commercial analysts and managers, you will also have the opportunities with multiple business units.

The Role:

  • You will execute a number of standard global audits in the local company, coupled with conducting standard internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls and procedures. You will evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements for the effectiveness of controls and governance processes. This will take up to 40% of you time.
  • The remaining 60% of you time will support the development and production of monthly cost centre reports, capital and materials reports, provide analysis of performance and communication to budget holders and support and review of financial and commercial control aspects of customer agreements and discounts.
  • You will also support month end, and quarterly hard close as well as corporate reporting and undertake reconciliation of accounts.
  • You will advise the finance team of any potential financial risks arising from analysis and highlight financial implications of changes to cost centres during the year to budget owners and work with them to take corrective actions early.
The Person:

  • You will hold 1-2 years post-qual experience (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA), and those with Audit experience of particular interest. Big 4, FMCG or manufacturing industry experience is desirable.
  • You will have strong communication skills as you will be working closely with the finance team and business unit owners, providing support and analysis.
  • You can work on your own initiative, be a creative problem solver. Someone who identifies a problem and comes to the table with a solution. You will naturally work in a Continuous Improvement culture, in fact you will thrive in such an environment.
  • You will possess strong organisational skills, in particular the ability to prioritise.
  • You will work best in an open and honest working environment, with a desire to learn and take ownership of responsibility.
